To fulfill the hunger for clothes and accessories of their children that would enable them to keep up with their group having same interest and inclinations had put their parents into financial pressure. There is no problem with the parents who are financially strong but parents not falling under the highest income group encounters pressure.
Children get easily attracted to whatever they see on the screen and they start bugging their parents for the same. It is not the case with all the children but with those who love to dress themselves smart. But at the same time it is also true that such wild desire tames down with time, age and maturity. Not only does the immaturity of the children that works behind their brain to perpetually pressurized their parents for the same which are normally expensive but it has been surveyed that children being seen to beg, plead, and also makes the whole environment melodramatic pressurizing their parents to purchase the same are themselves under the pressure of their circles. Children not following the latest fashion are treated like a nerd at school and anywhere they meet. So to avoid such embarrassment and emotional hurting by their friends children start pressurizing their parents.
In this race of maintaining the standard of fashion to match the groups that consist of children coming from rich family that follow the latest fashion trends, children of mediocre family find themselves left out after some time. In their desperate move to follow the latest fashion due to the peer pressure of their group they turn out to be an ultimate loser. That is losing connection of the old friends as well as not being able to impress the pampered group. Therefore it is important to remember the adage that “birds of same feather should flock together”.
It is better to hold your nerve instead of regretting later in life of losing your good old friends and how much your parents had to go through their mental pressure just for your vanity. It is not that you should not follow the latest fashion, you should but not following after falling under the pressure of your peer group that aims to change your attitude, behavior and/or morals, to adapt to the group's actions, fashion sense, taste in music and television, or outlook on life. A person affected by peer pressure behaves adversely from the normal. But fortunately for quite some time now and every shop houses stores that are basically designer labels, there do not seem to be many generic clothes shops left and all the goods seem to be affordable.
